SEAFARERS ( application forms, resumes, CV’s )

I am a senior student at University of Ljubljana, faculty of maritime studies and transport in Portoroz. My status is currently in the process of writing my diploma, which I intend to finish while sailing due to the nature of my chosen theme. I have studied maritime knowledge for almost 8 years now, starting with our local maritime high school and then continue on our faculty of maritime studies and transport. During my studies I worked on various ships and in various sectors related to the maritime field and now I would like to join a well established and professional company, where I can hone myself and grow to become a respected captain. I am very well mannered, organised, hardworking and passionate for the maritime industry. Words cannot truly express my personality or work ethics, but I can say with confidence that I am a very good, positive and an excellent seaman, which I can prove if given the opportunity. In my spare time I like to be active in many sport fields like swimming, gymnastics, bicycling, fitness and others. I like to read novels and learn new things about conventional science. Regarding my past sea time, I already have 6 months of on-board training on bulk carriers, 2 months on yachts and 4 months on product tankers. I have extensive maintenance skills (painting, chipping, lashing, greasing, varnishing, cleaning,...), over 100 hours of steering time and watch keeping skills (including duties relating to all the officers). Even though I have some entry level experience I noticed that it is very hard to get a job on-board (quite opposite what I have been told) so that is why I am very determined to prove myself in any way possible and confident in myself so that no company will feel any disappointment or regret.
